About Remy
A fresh take on a familiar nursery rhyme. We meet a boy and his sheep, with the help of a very good dog, who come to learn that even best friends have misunderstandings. Told in a lyrical verse with beautiful illustrations, it is a lovely story for the young and young at heart.
Originally a poem I wrote in 2023, I had started making a few sketches of the characters. Eventually I thought this could bring the story to life for a young audience, and this picture book came into being.
A misunderstanding sends the little lamb out into the big wide world. But he's lonely, and now lost. In the park he meets a friendly collie who understands his sadness, and might be the one who help the little sheep see that he is loved after all, and to find his way home to the one who loves him most.
Told in rhyming verse with a playful inversion of the nursery rhyme everyone knows.

Illustrations
A spinal cord injury in 2022 left me with impaired dexterity. Though I must confess I couldn't draw a stick figure even before. That I was able to illustrate this book is down to Susan Farrelly, my art mentor and director of the Art Programme at Spinal Injuries Ireland.
