Waterfall
Lost in your ferocious power
Thousands yearn with open jaw.
Taller than the highest tower,
With gravity to tug our awe.
The days of war, the years of crumb,
The harvests plenty, come and go.
In age forgot and times yet spun,
A constant in a world of flow.
Behind your crystal veil the rock
which took our brave, yet still we yearn.
Its purpose it is not to mock,
For us it is respect we learn.
More aeons yet to pass and so
us mortals catch this tiny glimpse.
What have you seen, what will you know?
Ungraspable to us mere chimps.
The rock your flesh and body,
Standing tall the test of time.
Your waters, crystal clear and godly,
Your spirit and soul intertwined.
